Underground Railroad
The Underground Railroad was a path that slaves used to get to free states. Harriet Tubman was a leader that lead slaves on the path. The leader had to be alert and on guard because the slave owners sometimes came after them. They sent dogs out on them and sent out people looking for them. Harriet is very inspirational from her courage and braveness. She was brave enough that once she got free she went back and help free her families and friends. She is taught to children in school today. She inspires them to be courageous and brave. She risked her life for 17 missions back to the south. She saved over 300 people form slavery.

Major Accomplishments

She helped in the Underground Railroad. In the year of 1850, Harriet decided to start a route of safety houses for slaves to escape through that they called the Underground Railroad. Over a ten year period time she lead over 300 slaves to freedom. Leading to her major accomplishments, she had been a slave all of her life. She always thought is was cruel and unfair. She escaped to Pennsylvania when she turned 29 years old. She was happy and glad she was out of slavery, but it wasn't the same knowing her family and friends were still in slavery. She decided she was going to help her family and friends get to freedom.

How she changed the World |
She changed the world by impacting lives of slaves. She got many slaves to freedom. She found houses that would home the slaves on their way to freedom. There were few people that would help them. It was very risky to try to get to freedom. If they were caught they would be beaten and would have to go back to slavery. She helped many slaves and was a big part of the Underground Railroad. She has also inspired many people to be courageous and brave.
